In 2000, a small group of industry professionals gathered for the inaugural HTUF Conference, with the idea of developing a hybrid truck for the utility industry. Twelve years later, HTUF is a flourishing marketplace for not only hybrids, but electrics and other advanced technologies for use in a variety of medium- and heavy-duty applications.
The key to HTUF is U. That’s right, the Users. The Hybrid, Electric and Advanced Truck Users Forum has always kept the customers in mind. Who will be buying these trucks? Driving and maintaining them? HTUF has had fleet professionals on board from day one to help develop and continuously improve these technologies. 2011 marked a six percent increase in the number of fleets in attendance at the Conference, and we are embarking on a full-scale campaign to draw even more fleets this September.
Beautiful Charlotte, NC will be the host of HTUF 2012. A virtual automotive mecca, HTUF sponsors, exhibitors and attendees will be treated to numerous networking opportunities and receptions, including a gala reception at the NASCAR Hall of Fame and the HTUF Ride and Drive on a professional speedway track.
