NC Wind Energy Supply Chain Workshop

This workshop has been created for those who want to learn about current market trends and supply chain opportunities in the wind energy industry. The workshop presenters have toured the world’s largest OEMs, both here and in Europe, interviewed wind farm developers and general contractors, and have condensed the findings into this focused educational program.

Topics:

  • How extensive is this industry and what are the trends?
  • What is the supply chain structure for wind turbine parts?
  • What are the industry sector lessons for fabrication and machining, composites and electrical?
  • What are the offshore and onshore opportunities for North Carolina manufacturers?
  • Where does a company get more information fast?

Who Should Attend:

Manufacturers interested in exploring new market opportunities who:

  • Operate a foundry, forge, machine shop, composites or fabricating plant
  • Operate a factory that produces power electronics, control systems, hydraulics, composites, fasteners, brakes, blades, nacelles
  • Operate a factory that produces supplemental equipment for the wind industry such as ladders, elevators, hoists, fire-suppression, lighting or meteorological equipment

Want to know how Western North Carolina has become a clean energy powerhouse? Join the NC Sustainable Energy Association (NCSEA) on Thursday, September 6, 2012 for its second annual Clean Energy in the Mountains: Bluegrass, Brews and the Latest News at the Pisgah Brewing Company in Black Mountain.

Come celebrate Western North Carolina’s innovation and entrepreneurship and learn what efforts are underway to fuel the continued growth in job creation and business opportunities in renewable energy and energy efficiency. From solar to wind, geothermal, biomass, high-performance building, electric vehicles and smart grid, Western North Carolina has it all! 

This event is generously co-hosted by FLS Energy, the Evolve Energy Partnership, and Pisgah Brewing Company.

The Southern Green Living Expo will include products, services, information and a series of workshop presentations for everyone from individuals and homeowners to businesses, industry and government agencies. “We have produced very successful home shows over the years and the SEE Expo has showcased the best of sustainability over the years, so it just made sense to combine both into one.”
