2009 Green Building & Solar Tour - Winston-Salem
The Green Building & Solar Tour in Winston-Salem, which is conducted by the NC Sustainable Energy Association (NCSEA) in collaboration with community leaders, Salem College, Leap Realty and the American Solar Energy Society (ASES), educates citizens with the most up-to-date information on a wide range of green building solutions and technologies, available all across
our state. This local tour will highlight one residential and four commercial sites featuring various green products and technologies such as low-emitting materials and water-efficient plumbing. Some of the buildings on this tour have achieved LEED certification.

Kick-off event/in-person registration will take place at the facilities of Family Services, Inc. at 1200 S. Broad Street in Winston-Salem from 9 – 11am. At this location, people can buy tickets and get their local guide with directions & map, as well as other educational materials. In addition, various green building and solar experts and designers will be on-site to share their products, services, organizations and answer questions about sustainable practices.
Tour participants will need to purchase tickets online via NCSEA's website prior to October 1 at noon (see below) or at the kick-off event, where they will receive a map of all tour sites. Ticket prices are $5 for advanced tour tickets; $10 at door; $15 carload; and $5 for students, seniors, members of NCSEA.
