The Greater Hickory Green Building and Solar Tour will cover Alexander, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba and Lincoln counties and will showcase a number of energy efficiency measures, renewable energy technologies and green building techniques.  The Zero Energy Home, a model in affordable housing will be included in this tour, along with the 2006 NC Sustainable Building Design Competition winner, Foothills Bio-Energies and a solar system facility are included.
