This is your chance to see more than 75 homes, businesses, schools and government facilities featuring green building products and technologies on this self-guided tour in communities across North Carolina.

The Green Building & Solar Tour in the Boone/High Country area, which is conducted by NCSEA in collaboration with community leaders, Appalachian Regional Initiative for Sustainable Energy, and American Solar Energy Society (ASES), educates citizens with the most up-to-date information on a wide range of green building solutions and technologies, available all across our state. Participants also realize that they have an opportunity to implement these solutions in their own homes and offices.
The tour will begin at the Watauga County Agricultural Conference Center, 252 Popular Grove Rd. in Boone, where participants will receive information on the tour sites, a copy of the statewide Green Building & Solar Tour book, and other educational materials. Breakfast and check-in begins at 8 am. Vans will take registrants to all site locations and will leave the Conference Center promptly at 8:45 am. Lunch will be served on the tour and registrants will be dropped back off at the Conference Center by 4 pm.
