2009 Green Building & Solar Tour - Wake County
In partnership with community leaders, partner organizations and the American Solar Energy Society, The NC Sustainable Energy Association will once again host the annual Green Building & Solar Tour in communities across our great state
- including the Wake County Tour on Saturday, October 3. The Wake County tour, which is self-guided, will feature photovoltaic and solar thermal installations and LEED certified and green buildings.

The 2009 tour will educate citizens with the most up-to-date information on a wide range of green building solutions, technologies and energy efficiency measures.
There will be a kick-off event for the Wake County Green Building & Solar Tour at Yes! Solar Solutions of the Triangle energy outlet at 410 Ledgestone Way in Stone Creek Village (corner of High House Rd. and Davis Drive in Cary). A presentation at 10 am, Solar 101 explains the basics of photovoltaic systems, the economic and environmental benefits, and the process of installation.
Tour participants will need to purchase tickets online via NCSEA's website prior to October 1 at noon (see below) or at the kick-off event, where they will receive a map of all tour sites.
