Making Energy Work: Building a Sustainable Energy Economy in the Southeast

NCSEA 2008 NC Green Building & Solar Tour

Saturday, October 4, 2008 and Saturday, October 11, 2008

This is your chance to see more than 75 homes, businesses, schools and government facilities featuring green building products and technologies on this self-guided tour in communities across North Carolina.  This year's host communities include Asheville, Boone, Chapel Hill/Orange County, Charlotte, Chatham County, Durham, Fayetteville, Greenville, Hendersonville, Raleigh, Wilmington and Winston-Salem.

The tour, which is conducted by NCSEA in collaboration with community leaders, partner organizations, and the American Solar Energy Society (ASES), is valuable because it educates citizens with the most up-to-date information on a wide range of green building solutions and technologies, available all across our state. The education and outreach that each tour provides, helps participants realize that they have an opportunity to implement these solutions in their own homes and offices.

To get an idea of what you can experience on the 2008 Tour, download and review the 2007 NC Green Building & Solar Tour Book.
