NCSEA STATEMENT: COVID-19
To our NCSEA family:
For over 40 years, North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association (NCSEA) has worked to improve the health and safety of all North Carolinians by driving clean energy policy and market development. We don’t just work here in North Carolina—we live here. This is our community, and right now our community needs us. All of us.
This is a rapidly evolving situation, and none of us know exactly what comes next. It is clear now that all areas of our lives are impacted by COVID-19, and we wanted to reach out to say “Hey, we’re here. We will weather this storm together.” There may not be much that we as an organization can do to directly support those most impacted by this pandemic, but there is plenty that we can do as individuals.
NCSEA has put together a list of organizations who are on the front lines of this fight. This is an incomplete but diverse list of organizations, each working to solve a problem exacerbated by COVID-19. Some of these are right in our backyard, while others are working on a larger scale to combat the spread of this disease nationally. We encourage you to review the work these organizations are doing and donate, whatever amount you can, to their efforts.
- Food Resources
- Relief funds
- Healthcare
- Pets- support displaced animals or those with food insecurity
- Miscellaneous
Additionally, we encourage you to review the comprehensive resources below to provide support for you and your family.
- North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services COVID-19 Response
- CDC guidelines for managing anxiety and stress during the COVID-19 pandemic
We’re here—and we’re in this together.
Stay healthy,
The NCSEA Team
P.S. If you have kids home from school, we’ve got lots of great educational videos at The Story of Clean Energy and on our website.
