As NCSEA’s Director of Finance & Operations, Laura helps ensure the Accounting, HR, and Operations administration function properly. Core Services support enables the organization to fulfill its mission efficiently and effectively. Laura supervises the bookkeeping, human resources, and operational support staff at NCSEA.

Prior to joining NCSEA, Laura served as a Finance & HR Consultant for several nonprofit organizations across the state. She has also served in nonprofit Executive Director, Finance & HR Director, and other leadership roles for more than a decade. Laura earned her MBA from Queens University of Charlotte and Bachelor’s degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also holds a current SHRM-SCP credential and an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Duke University. When she’s not working, Laura enjoys spending time with her three adult children, engaging in amateur photography, reading, and volunteer work.
