Clean Energy Disaster Relief
for Western North Carolina
Partners: Greentech Renewables, Footprint Project, Land of Sky Regional Council of Governments, and the NC Sustainable Energy Association
Western North Carolina has been devastated by the impacts of Hurricane Helene, leaving thousands of North Carolinians without power, food, shelter, and water. Recovery efforts are well underway, but communities still need critical support to save lives.
NCSEA and Greentech Renewables are teaming up with Footprint Project and Land of Sky Regional Council to provide critical need solutions through clean energy resources, such as temporary and long-term microgrids to provide power, water, and Wi-Fi to people in Western North Carolina most significantly impacted. Your support as part of this fundraising campaign will go directly to these organizations operating in Western North Carolina to identify communities in most need and immediately start deploying clean energy microgrid technologies and other critical services (food/water/supplies). 100% of the proceeds raised during this campaign will be deployed in Western North Carolina through Footprint Project, Land of Sky Regional Council of Governments, and other entities focused on deploying sustainable solutions to meet community needs.

Funds will be used to purchase equipment to install microgrids (solar panels, battery storage, inverters, and other electrical equipment) in areas of highest need, along with supporting the installers and other organizations helping with installs, and for critical needs resources like water, food, and other essentials.

Does your company or organization have clean energy equipment or skilled volunteers that you would like to contribute as part of this recovery effort? Please let us know via this form. (Please note: Critical needs include battery backup systems, transfer switches, and out-of-the-box battery generators. Additionally, while Western North Carolina is still in recovery mode, volunteers may be requested to serve in other parts of the state to pre-assemble clean energy solutions to avoid overwhelming response efforts within the region.)
