HYDROPOWER/MARINE

Hydropower refers to technologies or devices that harness the force of falling or flowing water, including marine waves, for useful purposes such as generating electricity or creating mechanical force.

Examples of Hydropower/Marine May Include:

Wave Energy

Waves travel up a ramp where the water is collected in a reservoir and then used to generate electricity.

Pumped Hydroelectric Storage

Water pumped uphill to a reservoir which can be released through a dam to generate electricity.

Wave Energy

Waves spin turbine blades to generate electricity.
